Just a little tidbit from my youtube channel

Hey all!
Just a short little note to let you know a little about this video clip. The banjo was a gift from my Pawpaw because he loved the instrument and he challenged me to learn to play it.  He passed away right before Thanksgiving and I had not yet learned to play much on it. Although at his bedside I did play the guitar the Preacher brought over and my family gathered in his room, had fellowship and sang to him. He loved Johnny Cash so I threw down some of his favorite tunes.
When I was asked to headline at a Spring Festival, I thought now was the time to learn and dedicate one of my favorite songs to Pawpaw at the event.  I guess I took the audience by surprise when I began the song with my Kermit impression.
Enjoy!

The first DisneyXd show to get 4 Seasons...what a shocker!

Season 4 of Kickin It came as such a surprise. We ended the show... said our goodbyes and all went our separate ways... literally cus everyone lives in different areas.  When the show goes down I usually head back to Alabama to regroup and visit family.  While I'm there I usually visit schools, hospitals and drama groups.  Well while visiting a class with my mom, I hear a screech from the back of the room... omg.. just can't take her anywhere! She gets a text from a friend with a link... the link reads. Disney XD announces KICKIN IT will be returning for season 4!
So flash forward... we head back to the studio... sadly our whole dojo had been destroyed after the final episode so the crew was hard at work rebuilding, The good news about that. all of Miltons plaid wardrobe had been sold off so now he gets to undergo a growth in style.... mr fashion-esta!
The great thing about going into the 4th season was the swiftness of our days. First season we'd walk out of the studio after 9 p.m.  Season 4, we were flying out of there usually before 5p.m.  Tapings we going by so quick and some weeks we were shooting more than one episode.
I remember one day my mom took me aside... yes I was in craft services... she said, "Take time, this time to really sit back and enjoy each single moment with everyone. This is a once in a lifetime tv family that has watched you grow up."   That really hit me hard... like that Oprah AH HA moment. This tv family has been there with me thru so much.... my first kiss, my voice changing, my driving on to the lot for the first time, my first group appearance representing the show, my prom, my first relationship, my first nephew's birth, and every birthday for the 4 seasons.
With my family being split up, dad in Mississippi, my sister being in Alabama, and my mom being with me for the last 10 years... you'd think we would have been lonely...but with this tv family here in California, we never spent a holiday alone.
It's now been 6 months since the show has ended... yes I miss the day to day interaction with cast and crew... esp. craft services... but with the new show Gamers Guide now being produced by Kickin Its producers, I find myself  driving onto the studio lot... walking onto set and seeing  the writers and crew all there.... and some days Jason, Olivia, Mateo and Leo  can be seen sitting around with everyone just like the good old days.
If you have questions or comments feel free to write me.

 Until then... Wasabi!

August Fanart & Thoughts

Happy August!
As I'm rolling into August, I'm doing like most of you... looking at my school schedule...(eyeball roll)! Where did the summer go?  Does it feel to you as if the school year gets longer? I walked in my high school graduation and now as I think about these classes as a solid future, it scares the poop outta me.  I have so many interests: physics, theatre, producing, architecture... and on and on.  So what I'm going to do is.... take my time this first year and focus on my core classes. I believe I'll be doing some online classes for this first semester to give myself the opportunity to still audition and focus on my career for another year.  Maybe at that time,  I'll have decided to continue on that path or take time out and hit the college campus. Either way, I know my path will carry these wonderful memories of the past 9 years of Broadway, Off-Broadway, Film, Television, Commercial & Voiceover.
Thanks for taking this journey with me!
