DYLAN ON FILM
In February 2009, I made my film debut portraying "Leo Amatog" in a short film called Valley of the Moon. Leo was an autistic boy who encounters a self-absorbed Chicago architect during an overnight bus trip. Shortly thereafter, I was cast in Todd Solondz' dramatic comedy, Life During Wartime. This film toured the festival circuit for nearly a year and was released in July 2010. The film earned critical acclaim. Variety critic Todd McCarthy wrote:
"The most compelling character this time around is Timmy (Dylan Riley Snyder)"
"Most heart-wrenching of all is young, freckle-faced Snyder, playing a still prepubescent kid
forced to cope with the messiest of adult problems and faced with
potential psychological issues he can't possibly digest.
